The Best to Come                         
I know that some day I shall see
A life that's ending peacefully
A life I hope in people's sight
To them I was a shining light.

I gave to Christ as Lord and King
My life on earth to others bring
The Gospel given, full and free
Through me they learn and do agree.

Now as I enter a new century
The year 2000, never thought I'd see
But Christ to me had other plans
All things in life put in His hands.

I'll soon be in my robe of white
Among the one who is the light
No sun, no moon, is needed there
No tears, no sorrow, no worldly care.

But you know what, the rapture might
Spoil all my plans, and take me right
Into that place where Christians go
Just like his word, and now you know.
