Joel

of the book about 825 B.C.Joel 3:14 Summary- numbers on numbers- valley of
decision (judgment). The day of the Lord (5 times in book) is near.
Many of the Jews looked for the day of the Lord as a day of blessing, but Joel
told it as a day of judgment.
Joel 1:2 The nation had never seen such devastation.
Joel 1:4 Locusts swept away everything, even the bark off trees (v.7).
Joel 1:3 Tell it to everyone, tell it to future generations. Joel 2:2
Joel 2:2 Even worse than the Egyptian plagues.
Joel 2:12,13 Before the Lord returns, He calls for them to repent with all their
heart.
Joel 2:25 " and I will restore.." everything that the locusts
had eaten. 2:19
Joel 2:32 Peter in Acts 2:16-21 spoke this that Joel had said. ".Whosoever
shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered.." saved
It will be a dark day for Judah. The day of the Lord. All the the land will be
scorched. No where will be safe.
Joel 2:18 Israel has never had complete
possession of the land God promised Abraham and his seed. They are surrounded by
enemies. But in that day Israel will have complete possession. 2:18-27
Joel2:28-32 The little pentecost-- Peter spoke this on the day of
Pentecost. Acts 2:16-21
The Day of the Lord starts at the Lord's coming and ends at the close of the
tribulation. The Holy Spirit will be taken away from the earth at the rapture.
The day of judgment begins.
All this devastation because of Israel's sins. A change of heart could have
prevented this. Surrender all to God.
